Offensive Fireworks Lead the Way

Purdy was remarkably efficient, completing 25 of his 34 attempts for 295 yards. His primary weapons included star tailback Christian McCaffrey, who rushed for 117 yards on 21 carries and also hauled in six passes for 29 yards and two touchdowns. Receiver George Kittle also had a big night, securing seven catches for 115 yards and a score.

Playoff Landscape Coming into Focus

With this result, the winning side continued their positive run to five straight games, solidifying their standing in the hunt for a top postseason berth. This triumph also snapped a lengthy losing skid against this specific opponent.

The visiting quarterback, in his second start after a five-year absence, posted a valiant fight, throwing for 277 yards and two touchdowns. However, a late turnover returned for a score ultimately sealed the game.

Game Summary

• First Quarter: The scoring began with a 20-yard touchdown pass from the visiting quarterback. Purdy responded with a twenty-two-yard scoring strike to tie the score.
• Second Quarter: After a turnover on the kickoff, Purdy connected with McCaffrey for a two-yard touchdown. The opponents answered back before Purdy threw his third TD pass to take back the lead.
• Second Half: Purdy kept his rhythm, adding another touchdown pass early in the third quarter. A fourth-quarter rushing touchdown by the other side temporarily made it a one-score game.
